Our altar celebrated immigrants and their continuation of Latino culture in the midst of a new non-Latin culture. The title, "Ni de Aqui- ni de alla" (Neither from here, neither from there), reflects our feelings of misplacement in any culture we have lived in, not being from any one place or one culture. As two Latina artists continuing our culture as minorities, we have been reunited with the struggles of our families, and all immigrants who have maintained their culture in a new location.
