Vanessa was born in Valparaiso, Chile, to an Austrian father and a Chilean mother. At the age of one, her family relocated to Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. Her introduction to the art of collage came during middle school. In 1986, her family moved once more, this time to Quito, Ecuador, where she completed her diploma at the International School of Quito. Following a period of introspection, Vanessa relocated to Santiago, Chile, to pursue her education at the Universidad Católica de Chile. Since 1997, she has called Indianapolis home. Over the past two decades, Vanessa has showcased her artwork in numerous exhibitions in the city.
